I love it, Google has just released a very exciting new niche market research tool called “Wonder Wheel” on it’s search pages. And what a wonderful tool it is.
Fire up a Google search for something like ‘internet marketing‘ and when the results come up, look directly under the Google Logo to the left of the search box and click, “Show options…”.
You’ll see, somewhere down the list of links on the left, Google’ s “Wonder Wheel”, click that…
Tada! Cool eh?

- Niche research made easy with Google’s Wonder Wheel
Now this is where it gets very interesting…
Click any of the spokes on the wheel and you can dig deep into the search term and find some very cool sub-niches related to the original term,“internet marketing”.
This is a fantastic way to find new sub-niches to exploit.
Don’t delay. Check it out today.

One technique for building backlinks to your web properties is to create customised RSS feeds. I have been trying some experiements with this following an article I read at http://buzzblogger.com/videos/instant-backlinks/. It’s an interesting technique and I will report back on the test that I perform and let you know how I get on.

This morning I read a Seth Godin article entitled “Is that it?“. A comment on the article led me to a Ted video delivered by Barry Schwarz in 2006 in which he talks about the paradox of overwhelming choice in today’s industrialised societies which often leads to a paralysis of action.
This definitely applies to internet marketing. Whist I have been earning my living in the internet space since 1997, I am still overwhelmed by the daunting array of different internet marketing programs, options and methods. Each one is sold as the silver bullet system and a quick way to riches.
Even though I had followed programs like the Thirty Day Challenge, which covers the basics for as close to free as possible, I like many others I have spoken to, had the need to invest in quite a few other programs to satisfy a nagging doubt that I did not know enough to take my first steps towards a successful outcome.
I have got to the point now where I can see that whilst there are some fundamental concepts most people are developing a standard theme and there comes a point where you have to get on and just do what is being said. Doing a weekly activity plan of writing posts, building backlinks etc. depending on your fundamental business model is what you have to do.
To be successful in internet marketing one thing is for sure you have to do stuff not just consume information and knowledge.
1. Use snipURL.com if you want to track how many people click on your short links.
2. I use tweetlater.com to help with my welcome responses to those who follow me.
3. I use twhirl.com as a twitter client on my desktop.

If you are starting out or at an early stage of you internet career then this site is for you.
One of the things you will have to do is to try different things and learn that all mistakes are valid and if you learn from them they they will take you forward onto the next stage.
I have been running my own internet related business since 1997 and even now I am constantly learning about the vast array of options for making money on the internet.
If you’re like me then you have strong desire, but are quite overwhelmed by the options and struggle to decide WHICH business opportunity to choose. After searching Google or Yahoo and being bombarded by many offers you don’t know which one to choose.
After you’ve made that self commitment to become an internet entrepreneur, your first step is to do a little due diligence. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of offers on the net. It’s YOUR job and responsibility to cut through all the hype and find out just what it is they are offering, and does it fit with YOUR wants and needs.
